"Take to the Sky" (also known as "Take to the Sky (Russia)") is a B-side from Tori Amos's 1992 debut album Little Earthquakes.

Background Edit

Called "the song that started Little Earthquakes" by Tori, the song under its original name, "Russia", was included on the tracklist.

"Take to the Sky" was first performed during the 1992 Little Earthquakes Tour and has been played on all of Tori's tours since, both solo and with a band.

Tori has occasionally used excerpts of other songs as the bridge when performing "Take to the Sky" live. "I Feel the Earth Move" by Carole King. "Muhammad My Friend" (on welcome to sunny florida). The "Is there room in my heart..." bridge from "Datura" as of 2011.
