Background Edit

"If 6 Was 9" was originally written by Jimi Hendrix and released on the 1967 album Axis: Bold as Love by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Tori's cover was released on the UK Limited Edition "Cornflake Girl" single on January 17, 1994.

Tori told Virgin Radio in 1994 that she covered Hendrix's song "out of such respect for him. Not that I thought that I could do particularly a good job with it. It’s an okay job, it’s not one of the best things I’ve ever done.",433
