"Famous Blue Raincoat" was originally written and performed by Leonard Cohen, appearing on his 1971 album Songs of Love and Hate.

In 2012, Joe Vales of PopMatters praised "Famous Blue Raincoat" as one of Amos' best covers, writing that she "manages to create a new vantage point entirely without changing a single lyric."[1]

Live performances Edit

Amos first performed "Famous Blue Raincoat" live during the 1994 Under the Pink Tour and has played the song on many of her subsequent tours.[2] A live version was included as a B-side on the "Concertina" single.[3]
